Available Kuwait eVisa Types

Only one eVisa type is available, that is Kuwait tourist eVisa. The tourist eVisa allows eligible travellers to visit Kuwait for leisure activities, such as tourism and sightseeing.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants who hold a valid passport from any of the eligible countries for Kuwait eVisa can apply online. The Kuwait eVisa policy divides eligible nationalities into 2 different categories.

Eligible With Standard Requirements

Nationalities which falls under this list requires only the following documents for their application:

1. Passport Biopage Scan
2. Passport Observation Page Scan
3. Recent Photo of the Applicant
4. Applicant’s Birth Certificate
5. Hotel Booking Confirmation / Invitation Letter from Host in Kuwait

Eligible With Additional Requirements

Nationalities falling under this category are required to submit ONE additional supporting document along with the standard requirements. Submit any of the following:

1. Valid Residence Permit of Any GCC Country
2. A Valid Residence Permit of US, UK, or of any Schengen Country
3. A Valid Tourist Visa of US, UK, or of any Schengen Country

Kuwait Tourist eVisa Validity & Permitted Stay

The specifications below apply to all eligible applicants, regardless of their nationality:

• Entry type: Single entry
• Validity: 30 days from approval date
• Maximum stay: 30 days from arrival in Kuwait

How to Apply

The application is completed online in 4 simple steps:

1. Fill in your nationality, passport details, and travel information in the application form.
2. Select your processing option and upload the documents required for your nationality.
3. Pay the eVisa fee using any accepted payment method to submit your application.
4. Receive your approved Kuwait Tourist eVisa, print a copy, and carry it when travelling to Kuwait.

What is Not Permitted Under Kuwait Tourist eVisa?

Travellers visiting Kuwait on a tourist eVisa cannot do the following during their stay:

• Take up any paid work or employment.
• Attend official work assignments or perform duties that require a specific authorisation.
• Enrol as a student in Kuwait.
• Any other activities that violate the local laws.

Can the Kuwait eVisa Be Extended?

Kuwait tourist eVisa is generally non extendable. Travellers are advised to contact the General Department of Residency Affairs in Kuwait before their current permitted stay expires to check if any extension option is available for them.
